How to make better Audio for Vizio 32" LCD HDTV?
I bought it a little while ago its the VX version but the Audio gets really anoying and gives me a headache? Please Help
i can't see how the sound is annoying, if it's annoying you it must be the show. but if your convinced it's the TV you could get and amplifier or A/V receiver with speakers for better sound.
VIZIO Trumpets LCD HDTV Shipments
Irvine-based Vizio, which manufactures HDTVs, said Monday that the firm was the number 1 shipper of LCD TVs in 2009. According to numbers from El Segundo-based iSuppli, VIZIO shipped 5,920 LCD TVs in 2009, for a market share of 18.7 percent, a growth of 92.1 percent from the firm's prior year shipments. Vizio was just ahead of Samsung, which shipped 5,608 LCD TVs, for 17.7 percent of the market.

Have 42 lcd tv and can't get any channels using only an s-video cable connected to my direct tv box. Need hdmi
Do i need to buy hdmi cables to get the channels? The HD receiver box is being installed on Friday Also ,the screen suddenly now opnly plays dvds black and white. I didi hook up the s-video cable to dvd player, and can play dvds Did i get a lemon. It's a brand new LG lcd flat panel. Thanks for helpiong me.
First thing, ditch the S-Video connection. You won't get high def over it anyway. When the HD box arrives, connect to it using either HDMI or COMPONENT (Y/Pr/Pb) cables.
You say that the DVDs are playing black and white, but play find over the S-video. What connection are you using that they play black and white. If you connect the "video" output of your DVD player to the "Y" connector of your TV's COMPONENT video, you will get ONLY luminance, so this will appear to be black and white. Make sure you are connecting the set according to the user's manual.

What is the best HDTV. LCD, DLP, Plasma or Rear Projection?
I plan on buying a 65" Hitachi HDTV (DLP) $2,200.00 - 2,500.00. It is 1080, but I have to check to see if its I or P. I was wondering how it would stack up to the others (LCD, Plasma or Rear Projection) or whether the others were worth the time.
That's a monster tv. Make sure to check it is P and not I as that really would spoil it! It's difficult to say straight off which one's better - you have to factor in energy efficiency, form factor, brightness into it as well as picture quality.

Do I need a digital tv converter box if my TVs only have NTSC-M tuners, not ATSC tuners or cable boxes?
The TVs in my house are wired up with standard RG6 cable, they don't have cable boxes connected to them. I get my TV through the local cable tv provider, not from wireless signals or satellite.
I looked in the manuals and they only have NTSC-M television systems.
Any help?
You only need a digital converter box if you're going to be receiving signals from local stations with an antenna. You don't need a converter box for any cable or satellite service.

what should I do for a home audio system?
ok, currently, I have a HD Tv and DVD player. I play my ipod through an older bookshelf stereo, but I want something better.
Here are some options I thought of: buy a 5.1 surround system for my TV and I could play the ipod through that. But I'd have to play it through the TV which could be a pain.
Or I could buy one of those 100 dollar clock radios for ipod. Not sure how good the sound will be.
Or I could just save up for a stereo receiver and hook it up to the TV and get some nice speakers. Sounds expensive though.
Are there any other cheap options? My top priority is listening to my ipod through nice speakers.

are you going to watch movies through this system? if the answer is no, or sometimes but the sound isn't really important, then get a good stereo receiver and a set of nice speakers. the stereo receiver and a pair of good speakers will make the ipod and the songs, which are in stereo sound better. the way the songs are supposed to sound.
if you do want to watch movies through the system, and you want the movies to sound good. then go with a surround sound home theater system. onkyo makes a good home theater system, and they make a ipod kit that will hook up to the reciever, charge the ipod, and i think it allows you to control the ipod with the remote control. i believe that system is around $499.99 and it comes with a good reciever, 7 speakers and a sub woofer, all the speaker cables you need. they do make a smaller system with 5 speakers and a sub, and i think that is around 249.99..or something.
anyway..it all depends on what you want to do. a good stereo receiver from onkyo is around 149.99, and you can buy a good set of speakers, depending on the size, from around 99.99 a peice to 500.00 a piece.

Class room : LCD TV or Projector?
We are planning to buy a few projectors (with ceiling mount) for the school. I am wondering if we should buy LCD TV instead.
Good projector = minimum $1500 CAN.
Standard "46 LCD TV = around $1100.
Advantage of a LCD TV:
-no need to turn off the lights.
-can be hook close to the ceiling for better view
-don't have to wait for lamp to turn on
-no adjustment to do (focus, angles...)
-no lamp to replace ($400 each)
-life expectancy is way better
So tell me now, what is the point of a projector?

The biggest advantage to the projector would be a much larger image.
Remember that classroom presentation slides are usually formatted 4:3. A 4:3 image on a 16:9 flatscreen will be pretty small. If the classroom is for 20 or so students you should be OK. If these are larger classrooms, the image will be too small to read text from the back of the room.
A projection screen should be placed close to the ceiling too.

Best Motherboard suitable for Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz E4300?
I have decided on buying Intel Core 2 duo 1.8GHz E4300.
I also thought of going for Intel DG965 RY Motherboard.
But some of my friends are saying go for ASUS or MSI as Intel motherboards now adays are giving problems.
I will use it majorly for using Microsoft Office, browsing net, watching movies, copying pictures from Digital Camera and playing few small Games.
Please suggest me which mother board is best for Intel Core 2 Duo E4300. Is Intel DG965 RY good enough? I have read the specs of DG965 RY? Specs looks good. How about reliability and performance?
Is ASUS or MSI motherboard better than this at the same price range. If so, please let me know the motherboard name with model number..
If you have no plans of tweaking and getting the most of your E4300, then that Intel mobo is just right for you.
However, the E4300 has a lot of potential that can only be unleashed in a good (enthusiast) motherboard. Look at what my idol did on an Asus mobo;
