How much could i sell this computer for?

Well I'm not sure if i should sell this computer or upgrade it.I got $200 in my budget plus whatever I'd make selling this computer to build a new computer so i need suggestions what to do.OS is Windows xp professional service pack 3-3.20 gigahertz Intel Mobile Pentium 4

I was thinking $200 for the whole computer? Just any ideas would be fine and also if you suggest to sell it how do i make it for a fast sell?Thanks

You don't mention any software ... like OS or Office or anything ... with some software you might get $120 - $150 for it .... but it would need to be in real good condition ... it isn't much of a computer by today's standards

Does a 'digital tv' still need an 'indoor aerial'?

There is a tv i want that has these features:

Freeview Features.

* Digital text.
* Digital video broadcasting (DVB) subtitles available.
* Auto setup.
* Auto scan for new channels.
* Now and Next electronic programme guide.
* 7 day Electronic programme guide.
* Top up TV compatible.

So do i still need an indoor aerial or what?

All of the features on your list are available on the better modern television sets made by the top brands (Philips, Panasonic, Sony etc).

Some of the features will not be available on the cheap tv sets normally sold by supermarkets under strange and unusual brand names. Often these don't have 7 day programme guides (only 24 hour) and don't have pay-tv slots.

To receive Freeview you need the best aerial that you can install. Going for cheap ones is a bad investment and so are booster amplifiers. Generally this means that you need an Outdoor aerial because indoor ones are smaller, receive a weak signal (because it has to pass through walls) and will be affected by people walking around the room.
Your tv set probably costs over £600 so spending £100 on getting a proper high-gain aerial installed and aligned by a professional is a good investment. Check Yellow Pages for local installers.

If you have cable or satellite then the box will connect to your tv set through the SCART connection and you won't have to worry about an aerial unless you still intend to use the television's built in tuner as well.

When will manufacturers start making 1080p sets in 25 inch and smaller LCD TVs?

I already have a 720p, but I want a newer TV with HDMI and a digital tuner, but I won't do it until the 1080p sets come out.

It is unlikely that anyone will make a small set in 1080P. There is no reason to do so. No one can tell the difference between the two, at this size, unless you sit right on top of it. The 720P sets being made today (actually, most of them are 768P) frequently come with HDMI , ATSC and QAM tuners and the capability of displaying 1080i. Since devices that produce video at 1080P are capable of outputting also at lower resolution, there's little incentive to increase video capability to 1080P, since it has to be downconverted to 720P anyway.
Bottom line-you've got a long wait.

Does a analog aerial need changing for digital signal.?

Hello
We live in an over 55 village with a shared antenna which is delivered to the units by cable..The system has been used for analog reception for a number of years..Will they need to change the antenna for digital?..
This what the management are saying to us old residents?
"You may now put up an aerial for digital but only if you use our special aerial installer"
I think they are trying to make a fast dollar..What do you think???

General no, if it is high quality antenna and if you are not in a terrible location.

An antenna is an antenna and there is no such thing as a digital antenna, for example. However, a digital signal as implemented in our TVs is more demanding than the old analog system was. For instance, if you had signal fade and snow with analog TV, you will probably not be happy with digital as you may not get a signal at all.

How do i get dolby digital to my surround sound reciever?

Here is the issue...My HDTV does have an ATSC tuner which i use to get OTA hd channels, BUT my tv does not have a digital output. How do i solve this if i want to enjoy 5.1 from HD programming on tv? i got the picture i just need the sound!! =) thanks for anyone and everyone who replies

If available, I would get either a digital HD cable box or HD satellite receiver depending on the signal of choice. This would likely open up your choices for pay per view and extended movie channel options. I would not recommend using just the audio as the sync between it and the video may be significantly different.
